OCELOT

Felis Pardalis

JBC Photography

Another one of those beautiful spotted cats, along with a few stripes. As with many cats, it is nocturnal and solitary. Lives in Central and South America. Eats the usual small cat fare but also takes larger prey, such as deer, monkeys, and even anteaters.

I found this pretty guy at the Seattle Zoo. His cage is enclosed by plexiglass and has a small creek which it will go into. They feed live him fish on occasion. His environment is a tropical jungle and he covers nearly every square foot of it. Constantly on the move, he was hard to catch in a full frame. Plus it was flash through glass, wet and humid on the inside. Here's a few from two visits. He was more stationary the 1st time but less visible.
