After you see the Hooglicht at Westkapelle, assuming you are driving south on N287, you'll be diving in towards town but it will be over to your left. You're up on the dike and you'll see the Laaglicht on your right. There is a right turn that will take you down into a parking area near the light. The top photo was taken while sitting in my car as it, you can guess, rained hard.
This tower acts as the front range for Westkapelle Hoog which is a massive old kerktoren or church tower. It was built in 1875 and stands a mighty 16 meters high. The light is white, red, and green with the white light being the most visible at 13 nautical miles out.
You'd think they'd build it a little further away to prevent erosion from claiming it for the sea, but instead they paved the beach. Or tarred it. I actually walked across it. Like they melted old car tires and dumped it everywhere.
