GOEDEREEDE VUURTOREN

After amazing myself at finding the Hellevoetsluis Lighthouse with the added bonus of the Noord Hinder Lightship, I headed south from there over the Haringvlietdam dike on N57 into Goedereede, a small village town in Goeree. This structure is so obvious on the horizon, there is no problem with finding it. Just remember when you turn right off N57 to go into the town, go over the bridge before turning left to meander the maze of streets towards the vuurtoren. There is parking right beside the grounds of the tower.
Very Gothic looking structure. 'Nevermore"... It was originally a church tower before becoming a vuurtoren. They did the fire on top thing and then they put a lantern on top like at West Kapelle. Then they took it off. There are some informative plaques beside some of the doors. It was not apparently open. I think I saw a sign that stated its season and hours. I missed both. It is around 42 meters tall.
